GPT-4.1 mini Replaces GPT-4o mini in ChatGPT
OpenAI replaces GPT-4o mini with GPT-4.1 mini in ChatGPT, improving instruction following, coding and overall intelligence for its small model.
- On 14 May 2025 OpenAI made GPT-4.1 available in ChatGPT to paid (Plus and Pro) users, and GPT-4.1 mini replaced GPT-4o mini for all ChatGPT users; Enterprise and Edu followed in the coming weeks[1][3]
