Bangkok's pixel-wrapped MahaNakhon skyscraper, designed by Ole Scheeren of OMA for developer PACE Development, held its public grand opening as Thailand's tallest building.

MahaNakhon, Bangkok's 314 m, 77-floor pixel-wrapped tower by Ole Scheeren for developer Pace Development, held its grand opening with the "MahaNakhon Bangkok Rising the Night of Light" show, reported by The Nation on 29 August 2016^[2][3]
CTBUH recognised it as Thailand's tallest building on 4 May 2016, and Wikipedia's infobox gives 29 August 2016 as the opening date^[2]
Groundbreaking was on 20 June 2011 and it topped off at 314 m in April 2015, completing in April 2016; total project value was 21 billion baht^[2]
The building includes The Ritz-Carlton Residences and a Ritz-Carlton-managed hotel, restaurants, a rooftop Terrace Bar and an observation deck^[3]
It stayed Thailand's tallest until 2018 and was bought by King Power in April 2018, when it was renamed King Power Mahanakhon^[2]
