- Berger and Anziutti won the international competition in July 2007; works ran 2012 to 2016 and the renovated Forum (75,000 m2) would not be fully finished until 2017[2][3]
- The Forum des Halles was inaugurated in 1979; the Canopée drew controversy, with Jack Lang calling it an abomination[2][3]
