New Sydney Fish Market Opens at Blackwattle Bay
The 35,000-square-metre market at the head of Blackwattle Bay opened its doors at 7am, replacing the 1966 shed two kilometres away in Pyrmont and roughly doubling retail space across more than 40 food and seafood operators. Designed by Danish architects 3XN/GXN with BVN and Aspect Studios and built by Multiplex, it adds over 6,000 square metres of public open space on the harbour foreshore.
