Bond Street's Elizabeth Line Station Finally Opens

London's Bond Street station opened to Elizabeth Line services, closing out the last and most delayed piece of the Crossrail project.

The first Elizabeth line services reached Bond Street at 05.47 on Monday 24 October 2022, welcomed by Andy Byford, Sadiq Khan and Katherine Fletcher^[2][3]
Bond Street was originally due to open with the other stations in December 2018, but construction issues led to its being announced in 2018 that it would open after them; the line itself opened in May 2022^[3]
The opening completed the central section, which now has 10 new stations; through services from east and west were under two weeks away^[2]
The station has two ticket halls, step-free lifts, and a 60 m escalator at the Hanover Square entrance; entrances are near Oxford Street and Regent Street^[2][3]
Trains run every five minutes, moving to every three to four minutes at peak from 6 November, with Liverpool Street eight minutes and Canary Wharf 15 minutes away^[2][3]
The station is expected to serve over 140,000 people a day, and Khan cited a 42 billion pound boost to the UK economy from the line^[2]
