UK's Newest Fusion Reactor Just Generated Its First Plasma
The United Kingdom switched on its newest fusion reactor last week, and the ST40 has already hit a milestone -- plasma within its core. The reactor, created by Tokamak Energy, should heat plasma to 100 million degrees Celsius (or 180 million degrees Fahrenheit)
