Gartner reported: $788B (2025 · Observé)
Gartner worldwide IT spending forecast, October 2026 edition 2026: $847B (Projeté)

USD billions, nominal. Gartner's 'Devices' segment. Projection is Gartner's October 2026 forecast for 2026 and 2027 (a forecast, not an outcome). History points are the earlier-year column from each January/February release (2022 Jan 2023, 2023 Jan 2024, 2024 Jan 2025, 2025 Feb 2026), published in millions of US dollars and shown here in billions by decimal scaling only; Gartner restates segment baselines between editions (e.g. scope and currency changes), so steps between editions are not purely market movement, and the 2026 projection starts from a different baseline than the 2025 history. Gartner's devices segment covers mobile phones, PCs and tablets; Gartner attributes slower growth to rising memory prices (memflation), so part of the projected growth is price rather than units.
