Musicians and singers employment, BLS projection to 2034

171,600 (2034) → 167,400 (2012) → 173,300 (2014) → 172,400 (2016) → 187,600 (2018) → 175,600 (2019) → 157,300 (2020) → 151,300 (2021) → 173,500 (2022) → 169,300 (2023) → 169,800 (2024)

BLS counts wage-and-salary and self-employed musicians and singers. Jobs (number of workers). History joins the base-year employment shown in successive Occupational Outlook Handbook editions (read from Internet Archive copies of bls.gov); each edition re-estimates the base, so jumps between years can reflect method and classification changes, not only real change. The projection is BLS's 2034 figure, a single point; no intermediate years are published. This is workforce size, not industry revenue.
