What each year added up to: salary, plus outside income, royalties, endorsements, prizes and investment income where a source reports them. A financial disclosure gives ranges, shown as such.
One octagon for each phase of the life of Paul Ryan. Each of the eight axes is scored 0 to 5 against a written rubric from documented evidence, with its source; an axis without evidence is a gap, not a zero. There is no total and no ideal shape: it is a profile, not a ranking. Appearance and personality are not axes, because they cannot be scored from evidence.
No total and no ideal shape: a longer spoke means more of that axis, so a long Misconduct spoke is more documented misconduct.

CBO's April 2018 estimate found the 2017 tax act raises the level of real GDP by about 0.7 percent on average over 2018-2028, with the effect fading as temporary provisions expire and a 43 percent foreign share of the gain, while adding about $1.9 trillion to deficits over 2018-2028; 88 percent of IGM Forum experts agreed in 2017 that debt-to-GDP would be substantially higher and only 2 percent agreed growth would be substantially higher. CBO's 2018 household-income analysis found after-tax income rose in every quintile with the largest reductions at the top.
