The Project Cardinal HyperscaleAtlanta-based Ardent TAC Data Center isCenters proposed a planned 600 MW zero-carbon compute campus located near campus on a 569-acre site beside the AgriTech Park in Great Falls in Cascade County, Montana. Strategically positioned adjacent to major hydroelectric generation along the Missouri River and regional 230 kV transmission infrastructure, Falls, requesting 500-600 MW of critical load from NorthWestern Energy at a stated $1-1.5 billion investment. The Electric reported on 18 November 2025 that the facility provides high-reliability, renewable-powered capacity for large-scale enterprise artificial intelligence infrastructure.proposal is off because power would not meet the developer's timetable.
Campus Compute Scale: 600 MW high-performance computing campus covering over 400 acres of master-planned industrial acreage. Hydroelectric Clean Energy: Powered through bilateral clean power agreements backed by Montana hydroelectricThe Great Falls Development Alliance announced the proposal in June 2025: a 569-acre site adjacent to the AgriTech Park, a $1 billion to $1.5 billion investment, 1,500-2,000 construction jobs and wind generation assets. Advanced Electrical Topology: Dual on-site 230 kV substations 150-200 permanent positions. Ardent asked NorthWestern Energy for 500-600 MW of critical load; zoning, permitting and power were expected to take 12-18 months, with diverse transmission tie-ins first phases online late 2027 to the NorthWestern Energy bulk grid. Timeline: Environmental impact scoping in 2026; site civil infrastructure in 2027; Phase 1 energization planned for December 2028.early 2028 and full buildout by 2030 (all planned, never started). On 18 November 2025 The Electric reported the proposed data center project is off after power was not going to meet the developer's timetable.

A primeira entrada é sempre a fonte do pin.
