  Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto V and a standalone GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 15 March 2022, with up to 4K, 60 frames per second, ray tracing and faster loading. The launch followed a delay from 11 November 2021.

Steam's store page shows 13 April 2015; GameSpot^[3] reported that the download unlocked at midnight UK time on 14 April, which was the evening of 13 April in the US, so 14 April is the global launch date.

  Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V reached PC on 14 April 2015 after several delays, with 4K and 60 frames-per-second support and the Rockstar Editor. Its Steam page, now named Grand Theft Auto V Legacy, ranks tenth on the weekly most-played chart, with a peak of 66,501 players in the week to 2 October 2026.

  Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto V went on sale on 17 September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Take-Two said it earned US$800 million on its first day and passed US$1 billion in three days, the fastest any entertainment product had reached that mark.

  Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto IV went on sale on 29 April 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, taking players to Liberty City as Niko Bellic. Take-Two said it sold about 3.6 million copies, worth roughly US$310 million, on its first day.
