Delhi Metro's Golden Line Opens Its First Section, Tughlakabad to Sangam Vihar

The first 8.4 km section of the Phase 4 Golden Line, from Tughlakabad to Sangam Vihar, is targeted to open in December 2026; the rest of the 29.785 km Delhi Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor, 19 stations with 12 of them underground, follows in phases. By April 2026 civil work was 78 per cent done with five tunnel boring machines still at work, and trainsets had begun arriving at the modified Sarita Vihar depot.
