Shanghai Grand Opera House Opens on the Huangpu River
GEPLANT75 % SICHERHEITPudong's[1] English government news page says the "Shanghai Grand Opera House will open on Oct 17 on the east bank of the Huangpu River", a fixed announced date.
The 146,000-square-metre building in Expo Culture Park, designed by ECADI with Snohetta as a spiralling Chinese folding fan, holds the 2,000-seat Harmony Hall, the 1,200-seat Soar Theatre and the 1,000-seat Open Stage, 4,200 seats in all. The opening season runs 47 productions and 82 performances through 20 February 2027.
