The rebuild of the north end of SEA's main terminal added the airport's first at-scale automated bag drops, a redesigned Checkpoint 6, a new Bridge Level check-in, upgraded baggage claim devices and eight major public art installations. The Port of Seattle and Alaska Airlines marked the finish of major construction, the first of a run of Upgrade SEA projects due to complete before the summer's international soccer tournament.

The Port of Seattle's S Concourse Evolution project adds 150,000 square feet to the 1973 satellite concourse that handles most of SEA's international flights, including a new upper concourse level and dual-level boarding at selected gates, reusing customs space freed when the International Arrivals Facility opened in 2022. All phases are estimated to finish by 2034.
