A joint venture between BarthHaas and hop cooperative HVG, the Hopfenveredlung St. Johann plant in Bavaria's Hallertau region processes a quarter of the world's hop harvest into pellets and extract. The €65 million facility went into operation in September 2020, three years after the industry began consolidating hop finishing into ever-larger sites.
