The 92,000-seat stadium rises in northern Riyadh along King Salman Road next to King Abdulaziz Park, its Populous design drawing on the surrounding mountainous landscape. It will be the Saudi national team's headquarters and the venue for the opening match and final of the 2034 World Cup, with a masterplan that adds an athletics stadium, training pitches and an aquatics centre with an Olympic-sized pool.
