Kling's 30 September blog said the full model was "coming in October 2026" with early access from 28 September (Kling 4.0 Flash for Ultra Yearly subscribers); ScriptByAI[5] marks it 'Full Available' on 15 October and a review cites Kling's 15 October post on X. The Decoder[2] covered it on 19 October and the API rolled out from about 21 October, so 15 October is the full-model date.
19 October 2026: 30-second clips, ten keyframes, 8,000-token prompts, stereo audio and Flash (720p, 20 s); in a comparison video 4.0 'holds its own but doesn't pull ahead' of Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5.[1]
30 September 2026: the 4K and 10-bit HDR output is 'coming soon'; keyframes are reference images, not animation keyframes, and filmmakers say consistency across cuts still needs work.[1]
Reseller timeline: Flash early access 28 September, full model and API in October; its endpoints give 3-30 second clips at 720p or 1080p with stereo audio and up to 10 images, 5 videos and 3 audios as references.[1]
Dates Flash early access to 28 September, the full-model announcement to 30 September and full availability to 15 October 2026.[1]

Kling 4.0 holds its own but doesn't pull ahead, especially when it comes to logical shot sequencing, physics, and natural-sounding dialogue.
At complex motion or character-heavy transitions, the model can produce morphing artifacts, inconsistent scale, or hands that change between reference frames.
Most evidence so far is vendor-chosen or early-access.
