The first entry is always the pin's source. Overall confidence is a weighted average of how firmly each reference supports the start and end times used above; a reference counts half as much for every 180 days older than the newest.

Wikipedia's Kinect article says the Xbox One Kinect "uses a wide-angle time-of-flight camera, and processes 2 gigabits of data per second" and that Kinect for Windows v2 is "nearly identical besides the removal of Xbox branding" with a USB 3.0/AC adapter at US$199.
TheNextWeb confirms Microsoft began shipping the Kinect for Windows v2 sensor and released the SDK 2.0 public preview on 15 July 2014, precisely matching the pin's stored 14-16 July 2014 window.
TechCrunch's own headline and 7 July 2014 publish date report Microsoft's $199 Kinect for Windows shipping July 15, corroborating the pin's stored mid-July 2014 date, though the page itself could not be fetched to quote directly.
Something missing or wrong? Say it in your own words: a link that backs this pin up, a different start or end date and why, or a fact it lacks or gets wrong. The AI checks it against this pin's sources, searches for better ones, and adds any page that backs you up. The pin's own sources still count most. A picture that shows something else, or shows it badly, is looked at too, and moved down or replaced.
