DJI teased the worldwide launch of the Mic Mini 2S for 4 August 2026, with the global announcement scheduled for "August 4 at 12:00 PM GMT"; the microphone "was first introduced in China earlier this month"^[3]. PetaPixel, reporting on 4 August 2026, confirms DJI announced it that day and says it is available starting the same day in most global regions^[2]
Pricing: Imaging Resource cites HK$1,299, "approximately $165 USD at current exchange rates"^[3]; PetaPixel gives $265 CAD excluding tax or 189 euros including tax for two transmitters, receiver and charging case, and $149 CAD or 99 euros for the single-transmitter version^[2]
On the U.S. market, Imaging Resource said before launch that "availability in the United States remains uncertain" since the original Mic Mini 2 was never released there; PetaPixel's launch-day report settles it - the Mic Mini 2S "will not be available in the United States"^[2][3]

Each transmitter carries 14.5GB of internal memory so it can keep recording "even if the connection to the receiver is interrupted", in 24-bit or 32-bit float; DJI says a transmitter stores up to 28 hours of audio in the default 24-bit format, with no estimate given for 32-bit float^[2][3]
One receiver now takes up to four transmitters at once, a capability "previously... exclusive to the more expensive DJI Mic 3", and the receiver has four status lights rather than the two on the Mic Mini 2^[3]; PetaPixel adds it also works with Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 transmitters and the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver^[2]
Transmitters weigh 12 grams (Imaging Resource says "under 12 grams") and have redesigned detachable magnetic front covers that are not interchangeable with the base Mic Mini 2's, plus haptic feedback confirming that recording has started; PetaPixel adds eight standard cover colours plus special designs sold separately, and that the transmitters cannot take the optional wired lavalier capsule^[2][3]
Processing features listed by PetaPixel: AI noise cancelling at two levels (basic for indoor fans, air conditioning and reverb; strong for "aggressive" outdoor noise), Clipping Control, Loudness Balance and three voice tone presets - regular, bright and rich^[2]
The transmitters connect natively, with no receiver, to the Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano and Osmo Action 6^[2]
