The first entry is always the pin's source. Overall confidence is a weighted average of how firmly each reference supports the start and end times used above; a reference counts half as much for every 180 days older than the newest.
Documented physical milestone or dated progress/reporting marker. Period-end dates represent only the reported month/quarter; they do not invent an exact operation date. Source estimates are labelled and not treated as confirmed future opening dates.
Published project-specific cost for Lone Star Power Station: USD 7.99e+08. Basis: Published project-specific capital/construction estimate.[1]
Published electric generating project rating for Lone Star Power Station: 453 MW. Basis: Operator-reported electric generating capacity; not annual energy production. The operator identifies Lone Star as a 453 MW combustion-turbine plant.[1]
Entergy’s[2][3] April 9, 2026 announcement confirms groundbreaking on Legend in Port Arthur and Lone Star near Cleveland. Both were approved by the PUCT in 2025 and are expected to serve customers in 2028. The combined projects exceed 1,200 MW; that combined figure is not the capacity of either plant alone. April 9, 2026 groundbreaking verifies physical construction; target service is 2028.
Something missing or wrong? Say it in your own words: a link that backs this pin up, a different start or end date and why, or a fact it lacks or gets wrong. The AI checks it against this pin's sources, searches for better ones, and adds any page that backs you up. The pin's own sources still count most. A picture that shows something else, or shows it badly, is looked at too, and moved down or replaced.
Entergy’s September 11, 2025 approval release gives a $799 million investment for Lone Star, updating the earlier $735 million proposal. The operator describes a 453 MW combustion-turbine project; April 9, 2026 groundbreaking establishes physical construction. EIA reports a different nameplate rating; neither figure is extra capacity.[2][3][4]

Retained only with documented physical construction, commissioning or 2025–2026 opening and published project-specific costs and electrical output. Costs use the published scope and currency; no benchmark estimates or currency conversions. MW is power capacity, not annual electricity production. Expected annual energy, where given, is a forecast. The map point is a reported plant/project location and may be approximate. Matching inventory views and excluded expansion proposals are not additive capacity.
