Burj Azizi Races for Second Tallest

Gulf News[3] (18 February 2025) reported the developer targeting 2028, while Wikipedia's[2] infobox estimates 2030 and records that as of May 2026 only the raft foundation and the nine-level basement car park were in progress, with about 750 workers on site daily. The later, better-evidenced 2030 estimate is followed and dated to the last day of that year.
Azizi Developments is building the 725m Burj Azizi on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, a tower meant to become the world's second-tallest building, though work was still on the raft foundation and basement car park in mid-2026.
