The Nevada Gaming Commission voted 4-0 to adopt a $10.5 million settlement with Resorts World Las Vegas over anti-money-laundering failures tied to illegal bookmaker Mathew Bowyer, the second-largest fine in the state's gaming history.

Nevada gaming regulators unanimously fined MGM Resorts $8.5 million for letting illegal bookmakers Wayne Nix and Mathew Bowyer gamble with illicit cash at MGM Grand and The Cosmopolitan, where the Grand alone took $4,079,830 of Nix's proceeds by 2020.

The Nevada Gaming Commission voted 4-1 to fine Caesars Entertainment $7.8 million after state agents found bookmaker Mathew Bowyer gambled millions at Caesars Palace and other Caesars properties over seven years, bringing the year's Bowyer fines to $26.8 million.
