The first stage of Singapore's fully elevated, driverless Jurong Region Line opens, serving Tengah and the western estates around Choa Chu Kang. LTA pushed the opening back by about six months after viaduct construction over the Pan-Island Expressway could only be carried out during overnight road closures, and will run interim shuttle buses from end-2027 until the line opens.
