A developer has proposed a multi-building project consisting of data center facilities, an electrical substation, a hotel, and restaurant uses on approximately 91.96 acres of land. A submitted sketch plan illustrates the anticipated future land development for Phases 1B, 2A, and 2B of the Smithfield Gateway project. The plan proposes two data center buildings of approximately 125,000 square feet each (approximately 500,000 square feet of gross floor area in total), a power substation, a 110-room hotel, and two standalone restaurant buildings. The project would be developed across parcels 16.8.2.7 and 16.8.2.7-2, as roughly depicted by the project's map boundary.
