Atmosphere Data Centers plans a five-building, 360 MW data center campus (300 MW in earlier reporting) on 110 acres of the retired Dickerson coal plant site in Montgomery County, Maryland, a project reported at 1.4B USD; the County Council's unanimous 28 July 2026 vote for an 18-month data-center moratorium put it on hold.

EIA’s August 2026 inventory lists Old Hayneville Solar, LLC’s Montgomery County plant 68001 as operating, with 80 MW capability and August 2026 initial operation. This replaces the pin’s unverified 2028 construction timeline.

Meta’s current Montgomery fact sheet publishes a $1.5 billion-plus investment. It supersedes the initial $800M-plus announcement. The source does not establish the old 106 MW load, 380-acre site or June 2027 commissioning date.

Separate construction cost, IT power, floor area and an opening date for this building or phase have not been verified. Published campus figures do not establish independent component figures.

Atmosphere markets 360 MW in development at Dickerson. Its county-filed 2026 conditional-use amendment covers an approximately 110-acre parcel inside a 758-acre parent tract, differing from the operator website’s 170-acre marketing scope. This is a proposed campus, not verified 300 MW energized IT.

Google's Project Spade is a two-building campus of about 900 acres off Interstate 70 at New Florence, Missouri, listed by Cleanview at 600 MW per building (1,200 MW; Google publishes no facility MW), announced on 20 May 2026 with a 15B USD investment, air cooling and Ameren-backed new generation.

Google’s May 20, 2026 release confirms its New Florence data center within a $15 billion Missouri infrastructure investment. That statewide commitment does not establish this campus’s standalone budget, 600–1,200 MW IT load, acreage or operating date.

RWE’s Fourth Quarter battery is a planned 300MW four-hour development at the retired Dickerson site. A future operating target is not physical completion.
