Holtec's restart of the 800 MWe Palisades nuclear plant in Covert, Michigan, first promised for the end of 2025, is delayed indefinitely after a used fuel assembly tilted and stuck in the reactor vessel on 30 August 2026; with no new date given, this pin sits at the end of March 2027, the backstop for the plant's power contract.
