The 16.9 sq km park is being laid out over the grounds of Riyadh's former airport, with an Art Park opening first and a Royal Arts Complex of thirteen structures, designed by the late Ricardo Bofill, arranged along a 1.5 km central boulevard. Omrania leads the design with Henning Larsen on the masterplan, and the park carries an estimated cost of SAR 72 billion.
