Sunrise previewed its new Gundam television series with this short prologue, premiered at a fan event months ahead of the show's broadcast, showing test pilot Elnora Samaya running trials on the Gundam Lfrith at the Vanadis Institute's asteroid facility while her young daughter celebrates a birthday nearby. The prologue plants the mobile suit and mother-daughter relationship that the full series, The Witch from Mercury, builds its story around that October.
