The 7.8-kilometre extension carries Line 2 Bloor-Danforth east from Kennedy station to three new stops - Lawrence and McCowan, Scarborough Centre and a terminal at McCowan and Sheppard - replacing the Line 3 RT shut in 2023, and is projected to carry about 105,000 trips a day. Infrastructure Ontario values the stations, rail and systems contract alone at $5.7 billion.
