The 14.5-mile Southwest light rail extension of the METRO Green Line will open to riders on June 12, 2027, linking Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie. Metro Transit announced the date on 26 September 2026 while testing, training and construction continue.
