World Humanoid Robot Games Open in Beijing
- The second World Humanoid Robot Games ran in Beijing from 22 to 26 August 2026, with the opening ceremony at the National Speed Skating Oval. [S]

- The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center said on 25 August that its Tiangong robots had beaten four human world records: the 100 m, the 400 m (38.15 seconds against 43.03), the 1,500 m (2:21.64) and the high jump, where a standing 2.88 m cleared Javier Sotomayor's 2.45 m by 43 centimetres.
