Uganda Declares Its Bundibugyo Ebola Outbreak Over
- Uganda declared its Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak over on 27 August 2026, after 42 days with no new confirmed case counted from the discharge of the last patient on 16 July.[1][2]
- The outbreak was declared on 15 May 2026 and produced 20 confirmed cases, 15 imported from the DRC and 5 locally acquired, with 18 recoveries and 2 deaths.[1]
