Elk Solar is a proposed 400 MW solar project in Elk County, Kansas, in the SPP interconnection queue as GEN-2024-125. It would connect to the Neosho Ridge - Caney River 345 kV line with a proposed commercial operation date of June 2028.

Amgen's phase 3 trial of Maridebart Cafraglutide in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction reaches primary completion, the point at which the last participant's primary outcome is measured. The trial enrolled 5,056 participants. This trial will examine if maridebart cafraglutide as an adjunct to standard of care will lead to a reduction in heart failure (HF) events such as HF hospitalizations and urgent HF visits, cardiovascular (CV) deaths and improvement in HF symptoms in participants with HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and HF with mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) who are obese. This is a phase 3, global, multicenter, 2-part trial with a double-blind period and an open-label extension (OLE). The trial is event-driven, and Part 1 will conclude when approximately 850 primary endpoint events have occurred.

GEN-2024-125 is a 400 MW photovoltaic generation interconnection request in Elk, KS. The grid operator lists its queue status as DISIS STAGE. The requested in-service date is 2028-06-30; this is a planning date.

EIA August 2026 lists Cypress Creek’s Steel River Solar Phase 1, plant 70397, with 500 MW solar SRSP1 and separate 250 MW battery SRSB1, under construction at most 50% complete and planned for August 2028. Operator announced groundbreaking for the first two phases in July 2026.

MISO lists J3762 as a 430 MW solar request at Alexandria–Bison 345 kV in Clay County, Minnesota. The active Phase 2 request carries an August 1, 2028 in-service target; Great River Energy is the transmission owner, not verified developer.
