Estimate from the variant's published specs, 0-5; scores are only comparable within one criteria year. A321XLR (LEAP-1A, MTOW 101.5 t). Range: Airbus 4,700 nmi = 3 (2.8). Capacity: Airbus typical two-class 180-220, midpoint 200 = 3. Comfort: Airspace cabin 3.70 m wide; reviews split (comfortable in economy and business per two, tight herringbone seat per OMAAT) = 3. Efficiency null: Airbus gives only 30% less fuel per seat; SAS publishes a figure for the A321LR, not the XLR. Speed null: no typical cruise Mach published for the XLR. Runway null: the Airbus A321 planning chart stops at the neo weights, not the XLR's 101.5 t.[2]
I was very comfortable in the seat, and found it less narrow than I was worried it would be.
In all honesty, it was a mixed bag. There were lots of things I liked, including the cabin design, the technology, and the bedding.
It seemed slightly strange at first flying long haul on a single-aisle aircraft, but I quickly settled onboard and enjoyed the journey throughout.
