GLOBALFOUNDRIES will jump directly from 14nm to 7nm
- In September 2016 GLOBALFOUNDRIES announced it would skip 10nm and go directly from 14nm to 7nm FinFET production, citing marginal performance and power benefits for the high cost of 10nm[1][2]
