Wholesale used vehicle prices declined last month for the first time this year.
Cox Automotive reported a 3% decline from March to April in its Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index.
Further declines could help bring used vehicle pricing down for consumers, since retail prices traditionally follow changes in wholesale prices.
La primera entrada es siempre la fuente del pin. La confianza global es una media ponderada de la firmeza con la que cada referencia respalda las horas de inicio y fin usadas arriba; una referencia cuenta la mitad por cada 180 días que sea más antigua que la más reciente.
Date has passed, but cnbc.com does not confirm it happened then; unverified.
AutoRemarketing's retrieved content actually covers an April 2024 Manheim reading ("lowest it has been since March 2021"), a year after the pin's stored May 2023 date, so while it corroborates the general declining-used-price trend, it does not directly confirm the specific first-decline-of-2023 event the pin describes.
Cox Automotive's own insights page reports its Manheim index "decreased 3.0% in April from March," published 1 May 2023, matching the pin's stored 1 May 2023 date exactly as the primary source behind the CNBC[1] story.

The plant will build the company’s next-generation EVs that are expected to arrive to market around mid-decade.
The changes to the Oakville complex will include combining three body shops into one and adding battery pack assembly, Ford said.
The Oakville plant will continue to build the gas-powered Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus crossovers up until the plant’s downtime.
The investment is part of Ford’s plan to have production capacity for 2 million EVs globally by the end of 2026.
The retooling is expected to take six months and begin in the second quarter of next year, Ford said.
