Miami-Dade^[1][2] County's release says "Starting on October 27, 2025, the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) will offer South Dade commuters access to a brand-new, comfortable and reliable transit connection from Florida City to Dadeland South".
Miami-Dade's first bus rapid transit service runs 20 miles along US-1 from Dadeland South to Florida City on a rebuilt dedicated busway protected by gate arms and prioritised at rush hour, calling at 14 new BRT stations with air-conditioned waiting areas.
