Every Aldi Nord employee in Germany earning under EUR 14 an hour, allowances included, got a raise to that floor, months before the statutory minimum wage reached EUR 12.

With the 2023 retail pay talks stuck, Aldi Nord raised tariff pay for its more than 39,000 store staff in Germany by 5.3% from 1 October, to be set against whatever ver.di and the employers finally agreed.

From January 2026 Aldi's Polish store staff earn PLN 5,700 to 6,450 gross a month and store managers up to PLN 9,350, with every employee also getting PLN 400 a month on a prepaid card for shopping at Aldi.
