Estimate from the variant's published specs, 0-5; scores are only comparable within one criteria year. Original 777-200 (A-market, PW4084; first flight, certification, delivery and EIS pins). Range 5,240 nmi (9,700 km) basic 777-200 = 3.0 (Boeing figures in the pin's spec list). Capacity 305 typical three-class seats = 4.0 (maker's typical). Speed: Mach 0.84 (Boeing 2008 release; BA captain in Flight International) = 3.5. Efficiency 2.0: Aircraft Commerce no.60 (Oct/Nov 2008, Jeppesen plans) gives the 777-200 (PW4077, MTOW 545,000 lb, Boeing's 305 seats) 23,183 USG LHR-IAH (4,349 nmi) + 20,551 USG IAH-LHR (4,269 nmi): 43,734/305 = 143.4 USG = 542.8 L per seat over 15,961 km = 3.40 L/seat/100 km (modelled; engine/weight differ from the range figure). Comfort 3.0: three independent economy reports (Cranky Flier 2024, Simple Flying 2019, 2025): comfortable seats, smooth ride, dated product; cabin width/noise not opened. Runway null (graphs only).[1]
We like the way the flight-control system removes the pitch couple when changes are made to power, flaps or speedbrake settings…the aircraft trims out beautifully with good speed stability
The flight passed really quickly, and it was a much better experience than I expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly this airplane again.
My economy plus seat was clean, comfortable and presentable.
I expected a cavernous cabin with a smooth ride, and for the most part, with few exceptions, I received the unique experience I paid for.
