Mango's own press release, dated 14 December 2024, announces "the unexpected death of Isak Andic, our non-executive Chairman and founder of Mango, in an accident that occurred this Saturday"; Al Jazeera's^[2] report, published the same day, adds that he fell while hiking in the Montserrat mountain range.
Isak Andic, the Turkish-born businessman who founded Mango in Barcelona in 1984 and built it into a global fashion retailer, died aged 71 after falling while hiking near the Coves del Salnitre de Collbató, outside Barcelona.
