Prime Minister Lawrence Wong officiated the groundbreaking of Terminal 5 on the Changi East site, launching the airport's largest expansion. PM Wong said T5 will be as big in land area as all of Changi's current terminals combined and will expand the airport's capacity by more than 50 per cent, serving about 50 million more passengers a year.

LTA Research's Pathfinder 1, the largest aircraft in the world, flew beyond its Moffett Field base in California and over San Francisco Bay for the first time on 15 May 2025 - the first rigid airship of its size to fly since the 1930s. Its larger successor, Pathfinder 3, is being built in the century-old Goodyear Akron Airdock.

Sable began flowing oil from six wells on Platform Harmony to its Las Flores Canyon plant at about 6,000 barrels a day, the first Santa Ynez Unit production since the 2015 Refugio spill. With the onshore pipeline still barred, the oil went into storage tanks.
