Eater[1] reported in December 2017 that the Mira Mesa location was "Scheduled to launch by mid-2018". It opened later than that: Menya Ultra's[4] own company timeline records "October 26: Opened 14th Ramen shop in Mira Mesa, San Diego, California", and the restaurant's own announcement set "Grand opening is 10/26" after soft openings on 22 and 23 October.
