The 6.7 km first section links Congonhas Airport with Morumbi on suburban rail Line 9 through seven stations, twelve years behind the 2014 World Cup deadline it was first built for. Trains initially run only between 10.00 and 15.00 at headways of seven to fourteen minutes, with full service expected from October 2026.
