The third stage of the Mexico-Pachuca "Felipe Angeles" train runs 65 km of electrified double track from the AIFA airport terminal in the State of Mexico to Pachuca in Hidalgo, with stations at AIFA, Xaltocan II, Tizayuca-Temascalapa, Jaguey de Tellez and Pachuca plus four intermediate stops, and is meant to carry over 100,000 passengers a day in 1 hour 15 minutes end to end. The Felipe Angeles Engineers Corps of the defence ministry began construction in March 2025 and reported 37.06 per cent overall progress in June 2026.
